Ink Blotting: An Accidental Hobby
I am a late starter.
I signed in Blogspot in 2008 and finally, after 11 years I decided to write a post.
Does that make me a procrastinator? Definitely! But better late than never.
My current interest is in Ink Blot prints.
I love creating Ink Blots prints. I pulled my first Ink Blots print when I was 19. In 1998, when my wife had a serious health issue, I turned to create a whole catchment of Ink Blots. In that period, I pulled large size prints as well as hundreds of minuscule ones.
Ink Blots makes me an accidental artist.

Memories of the Land 2019. Ink Blot Prints on Art Card. 250 x 190 mm
Often the resulting images surprise me.
My recurring theme is the rainforest and the memories of the land.

One of the most surprising aspects of these prints is that some areas the images are sharp
and some are fuzzy, like a memories of a distant past.

A tree in the wind. The pulled prints have layered breaks in them, almost like
signifying the passing of time. One of the most surprising aspects of these prints
is that some areas the images are sharp and some are fuzzy,

The Timber Trail. In my visit to Ba Abang, Sarawak this year,
I was amazed to see roads or timber trails cut deep into the mountains and rainforest.
There is great desire to pull the green gold that id the rainforest.
This particular print surprise me with a passageway cut into the deep forest.
I like the sunset, like memories of a distant past.
